3) Select either 1200 or 2400 (as appropriate) as the operating speed of the modem in the Baud Rate field.
• The default is 2400.
When you are finished:
4) Click the Update button to store the settings into the database on the local disk.
5) Click the Close button to exit the current screen and return to the PC-DBA main screen.
When you have finished all programming changes:
6) Perform a SEND to copy your new database to the DX-120 switch system memory.
SETTING UP OPTIONAL INTERNAL MODEM VIA THE DET
NOTE
chg, bksp, save, one, always, del, and ack are interactive LCD button operations.
Use the three buttons below the LCD display to activate the associated operation.
You can press Hold at any time to return to the previous level or press the volume
buttons to return to the main DB selection screen.
1) Enter Database Administration (see page 26) using the feature code Feature # * to display the password
prompt.
2) Enter the DB Admin password (see page 27).
3) Press show to display the DB Item Select screen.
4) Enter 04-15 and press save to advance to the Built-in Modem programming screen.
5) Press show to advance to the Built-in Modem – Directory Number programming screen.
To change the modem directory number:
6) Press chg.
7) Enter the new directory number that you want to assign to the modem resource.
• Valid directory numbers are from those designated for extension directory numbers.
• The default is 100.
8) Press save to store the settings.
9) Press next to advance to you to the Built-in Modem – Baud Rate programming screen.
10) Press chg to choose either 1200 or 2400 as the operating speed of the modem.
• The default is 2400.
11) Press the Hold button to return to the previous menu level.
OR
Press the Volume button (up or down) to return to the DB Item Selection screen.
OR
Exit programming (see “Exiting Database Administration” on page 27).
