Setting DISA via PC-DBA (continued)
4) Select the directory number (i.e., No DIR#) you wish to set up for DISA.
• Valid entries are directory numbers 800 through 839.
• Initially, this is set to 800.
• Entries 840 to 843 are for future use only.
IMPORTANT!
When a T1 or ISDN (T1/PRI) is in use, valid entries are 816 through 839. When
any of these are selected, the DISA Line checkbox is automatically checked
(enabled) by default.
DO NOT CHANGE THIS SETTING IF YOU ARE USING T1 OR ISDN (T1/PRI).
This setting must remain CHECKED.
5) Click the checkbox ( ) next to DISA Line to place a check mark there to make the selected directory a
DISA line ( ).
• Clicking on this box toggles the setting between yes/enable (a checkmark ) and no/disable (no
checkmark ).
• The default is no/disable (no checkmark ).
6) Complete the remaining fields as described below:

For this field... Select...
Day COS
The class of service to use for the CO line directory during daytime
hours.
Valid entries are 0 through 7.
The default is 0.
Eve COS
The class of service to use for the CO line directory during evening
hours.
Valid entries are 0 through 7.
The default is 0.
Service
The frequency with which you want the DISA feature to be active
for the CO line directory.
Valid options are Always, Never, Day, and Eve (evenings).
The default is Always.
Talk Time
The allowed duration of outgoing calls made via the DISA feature
for the CO line directory. Extension users can extend this talk time,
in amounts corresponding to what you have set here.
Valid options are 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, and 15 minutes.
The default is five minutes.
EXAMPLE
If you set this field to 3 minutes, extensions users can
make outgoing calls of up to 3 minutes, then the caller
can extend the time for another 3 minute period.
