T1 ALARM AND ERROR PARAMETERS
Parameter Description
Bipolar Error Alarm Trigger
This indication defines the minimum number of errors per second that must occur
before the T1 board will forward one error count to the system.
Bipolar errors indicate that the system has detected electrical noise on the receive
pair from the network.
Bipolar errors can occur frequently, even on a properly functioning system and can
occur if the network is using B8ZS and the T1 board is not.
The BIPOLAR indicator on the T1 board also indicates this condition.
Bipolar Error Logging
This indication is the minimum number of error counts per second, as reported by
the T1 board that must occur before the system logs the error.
The actual number of bipolar errors is the logged number multiplied by the number
you enter for the Bipolar Error Alarm Trigger.
CRC Error Alarm Trigger
This indication is active in only the ESF mode, and is the minimum number of
errors per second that must occur before the T1 board forwards one error count to
the system.
CRC errors indicate corruption of A, B, C, and D bits for only the ESF mode.
The CRC indicator on the T1 board also indicates this condition.
CRC Error Log Trigger
This indication only occurs in the ESF mode.
The T1 board must report the occurrence of a minimum number of error counts per
second before the system logs the error.
The actual number of CRC errors will be the logged number multiplied by the
number that you entered for the CRC Error Alarm Trigger.
