Incoming Call Pickup 1-125
Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
Direct Inward Dialing (DID)
This feature allows incoming CO calls to access a specific destination. This feature enables a
caller to have direct access to specific station, Hunt group - bypassing any attendant.
There are 3 types of DID dialing that can be set (see ADMIN PROGRAMMING):
• 0 - sets a series of digits for the caller to dial, then converts them using the Conv Type.
• 1 - uses incoming DID digits as the destination number, so no conversion is needed.
• 2 - uses the Flexible DID table to convert the digits from the Conversion Type 1.
CONDITIONS
• When a DID call is received at a busy station, the call is automatically handled according
to the DID/DISA Answer Timer.
• The DID Destination can be a station, Hunt group, voice mail announcement, "Drop after"
voice mail announcement, System Speed, Internal Page, or Page (Internal/External/All
Call Page).
• If the call is not answered or the number dialed is invalid, the call is routed using the
DID/DISA Destination.
• DID calls to a busy station can be forwarded to another station - see “Call Forward” on
page 1-175.

DID Conversion Type -- when CO Service Type is set
to ISDN DID/MSN (PGM 140), the value is used to
designate the DID digit conversion type.
- If conv type is set to 0, incoming digits are converted
as set in PGM 146.
- If conv type is set to 1, no digit conversion exists. If
the caller dials a valid Station number, the Station will
receive the call.
- If conv type is set to 2, it refers to the Flexible DID
Table (PGM 231).
