Call Handling 1-59
Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
ADMIN PROGRAMMING
Enable Forced Hands-Free Mode
OPERATION / SETUP
To activate forced hands free mode during a tone mode call:
When you hear a ring back tone, enter the forced hands free code number.
The called station will stop ringing, and the speaker and microphone will be activated (that
is, they will operate in Hands-Free mode).
Forced Trunk Disconnect
This feature allows an authorized user (Emergency Supervisor) to disconnect another station’s
active outside call in order to use that line to make outgoing call.
IMPORTANT: This feature is only available for analog lines. In addition, this feature should only
be used in an emergency when no other line is available. Because this is an
"emergency only" feature, only an authorized user should/can use it.
CONDITIONS
The calling station must have Emergency Supervisor enabled.
Also see "Emergency Intrusion" on page 1-50.
ADMIN PROGRAMMING
Enable Emergency Supervisor
Use PGM 112, then FLEX 24 … see page 1-57.
OPERATION / SETUP
To activate the Forced Trunk Disconnect feature:
When you attempt to access an outside line, but hear a busy tone, enter the "Forced Trunk
Disconnect" code, then press #.
The busy line goes to idle and you hear a dial tone.

force the called party station to use the hands-free mode when
