Call Completion
Call Completion is the same as CallBack (see page 1-66), except that it is conducted within a
networking connection environment, and is used at H.450 protocol standard specification.
There are two types of call completion:
Completion of Calls to Busy Subscribers (CCBS) - When calling a busy station (busy tone
sounds after dialing) within another system, the caller can be notified when that busy
station becomes idle. Upon this notification to the caller, the call can be re-dialed.
Completion of Calls on No Reply (CCNR) - After calling a station within another system
and getting no answer, the caller can be notified when the target station user becomes
available. Upon this notification to the caller, the call can be re-dialed.
CONDITIONS
A new Call Back request left at a station will cancel any previous callback messages.
A voice message cannot be left even when VMIB is installed in a local system.
When the caller does not answer the call back ring within the set network timer, the call will
be dropped.
There are two CCBS modes-Connection Mode and Disconnection Mode - see Admin
Programming.
