Outgoing Call Access 1-153
Chapter 1: Basic System Features
SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
CO Line Queuing
If a user hears a busy tone when trying to access a CO Line (indicating there are no available
CO lines), the user can request a call back (queue call). When this done, the station is notified
when a CO line becomes available.
CONDITIONS
Multiple Callback requests (queues) may be placed for a CO Line.
When a queued CO Line becomes available (idle), the station that has been queued the
longest receives the call back first. This priority process continues until all queued stations
have been notified as the CO line becomes available.
If the waiting station is busy and the queued CO Line is available, the available CO Line
will be directed to the next idle queued idle.
If the waiting station is idle, the queued CO Line will give a call back signal to the station
for 15 seconds. If the signal is unanswered, the queue is canceled and the next station in
the queue receives the call back.
A station can only queue for a single CO Line at a time. If the station makes another queue
request for a CO Line, the previous queue request is canceled, and the newer one is
activated. This also means that the user loses their place in the queue priority (see above
notes).
