Universal Night Answer (UNA)
Universal Night Answer (UNA) allows any user, regardless of the pick-up group, to pick up
incoming CO Calls when the Night Mode enabled.
If there's incoming CO Calls during Night Mode, Station B can pick up the call even though
Station A and B do not belong to a pick up group.
CONDITIONS
UNA feature is activated when the Ring Mode is set to "Night" - see 1-132.
If the Night Answer Code is dialed from a station when there is no incoming CO call, an
error tone sounds.
The connected CO Line may be transferred or disconnected the same way Day Mode call
handling is performed.
If External Night Ringing is enabled, the call is routed to External Page by LBC1.
ADMIN PROGRAMMING
Enable Universal Night Answer
Enable External Night Ring
Use PGM 160, then FLEX 7 … see page 1-95.
OPERATION / SETUP
To pick-up a call in Night Mode:
1. Go off-hook.
2. The intercom dial tone sounds.
3. Dial 569 (the Universal Night Answer code) to connect to the call.
Universal Night Answer (UNA) -- if feature is set to ON,
Universal Night Answer service is applied to this CO Line.
