SBX IP Programming & Operations Guide
Call Transfer
Calls can be transferred to another station or CO Line.
Calls can be transferred by either the screened or unscreened method, or be directly transfer
red to a voice mailbox:
Screened Transfers: Allows the user to announce a call to the destination station before
completing the transfer.
Unscreend Transfer: Allows the user to complete a transfer without announcing the party
to the destination station.
Also see "Transferring Calls Using an SLT Phone" on page 1-183.
CONDITIONS
Transfer a Call to an External Number (CO Line - Digital Phones Only)
During a blind transfer, if an external ISDN destination does not answer within the
designated Transfer Hold Recall time:
1. the transferring station receives a ring back, then -
2. If the transferring station does not answer, the Attendant station receives a ring back
for the amount of time set for Attendant Recall timer.
3. If none of the stations answer within the allotted times, the call will be dropped.
Detect Loop Lost or Disconnection must be available for detection by CO lines.
If the transferred CO Line does not have answer information (analog CO), and the
transferred call is not answered, the call does not ring back to the transferring phone; the
call is disconnected after the Unsupervised Conference timer expires.
If the transferred line is an ISDN CO call, the CO Line receives a ringback (reminder) if the
Transfer Hold Recall time expires. The line is then released.
During a screened transfer, pressing the original incoming CO Line button while making a
transfer to an external number completely disconnects the call (incoming and outgoing).
Call Transfer a Call to Another Station
Transferred calls are shown via the Exclusive Hold (see "Hold" on page 1-184) flashing
indication at the transferred-to destination digital phone.
If the receiving station does not answer the call in the Transfer Recall time:
1. the transferring station receives a ringback, then -
2. If the transferring station does not answer, the Attendant station receives a ring back
for the amount of time set for Attendant Recall timer.
3. If none of the stations answer within the allotted times, the call will be dropped.
